Car Accident Chiropractic Care & Medical Liens
Almaden Family Chiropractic
Treatment After a Crash, Without Paying Out of Pocket
A rear-end hit on Almaden Expressway or a low-speed collision in a Cambrian Park lot can leave you sore, stiff, and fielding calls from an adjuster before you have even been examined. Almaden Family Chiropractic has provided car accident chiropractic care in San Jose since 1982, and we treat injured drivers on a medical lien so recovery does not wait on your claim.
Dr. Alex Wong focuses his practice on auto and work injury. Our Branham Lane office handles the exam, the imaging, and the records your attorney will need later.
We Accept:
- Medical Liens
- Attorney Liens
- Med-Pay Coverage
- Personal Injury Cases
- Third-Party Auto Claims
Qualified patients begin treatment with no payment at the time of service. The bill is settled through your case, so recovery is not something you have to fund while you wait.
How Treatment on a Medical Lien Works
Most patients have never signed a lien before. Here is the sequence from the first phone call to the day your case closes.
- Your information reaches us. Call the office directly, or have your attorney or paralegal email your demographics. Jamie or Joanie start the lien paperwork before you arrive, so billing never holds up your first visit.
- A documented initial evaluation. Your chiropractor records the mechanism of injury, your symptoms, range of motion, and objective exam findings. This is the record your claim leans on months later, so it is built carefully the first time.
- Imaging in the same visit when it matters. Digital X-ray is on site. If your exam points to something structural, we image it that day instead of sending you to an outside facility and waiting on a report.
- A treatment plan matched to the injury. Adjustments, soft tissue work, and supportive therapies are combined based on what the exam found, not a fixed protocol.
- Documentation moves to your attorney. Treatment records, progress updates, and narrative reports go out as your case needs them.
- Billing resolves at settlement. Our office submits the final balance through your attorney once your case closes, rather than collecting at the front desk along the way.

Therapies Used in Accident Injury Recovery
Every patient receives a personalized treatment plan built to reduce pain, restore function, and support recovery after a collision.
Our services include:
Chiropractic Care
Gentle spinal adjustments restore proper joint motion, reduce pain, and improve mobility. For patients too sore for a traditional adjustment, low-force and Pro-Adjuster techniques deliver precise care with far less pressure.
Therapeutic Massage
Massage therapy decreases muscle tension, reduces spasms, improves circulation, and promotes healing in the tissues most affected by a crash.
Electrical Muscle Stimulation
Muscle stimulation therapy helps reduce pain, calm spasms, and support injured tissue through the early phase of recovery.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Ultrasound therapy promotes circulation, reduces inflammation, and assists soft tissue healing.
Digital X-Ray Services
On-site imaging lets us evaluate injuries and confirm treatment decisions during your visit, and gives your attorney objective documentation from the start of care.
Common Conditions We Treat
Crash forces are unpredictable. A minor dent can produce real injury, and neck or shoulder pain frequently shows up a day or two later once adrenaline fades.
Whiplash and Cervical Strain
A rear-end impact snaps the head back and forward, straining neck ligaments and deep muscle. Whiplash often appears with no visible damage to the vehicle.
Neck Pain and Stiffness
Trouble turning your head to check a blind spot is usually the first sign. Lingering neck pain after a crash involves both restricted joint motion and muscle guarding.
Back Pain and Sciatica
The seat and belt transfer impact force straight into the lumbar and mid-back. Back pain can arrive immediately, while disc irritation may send sciatic pain down one leg days later.
Shoulder and Seatbelt Injuries
Bracing against the wheel or catching the belt across the chest strains the shoulder, ribs, and surrounding soft tissue.
Post-Accident Headaches
Headaches that begin after a collision often trace back to the neck and upper back rather than the head itself.
Delayed-Onset Soft Tissue Injuries
Strains and sprains that felt like nothing at the scene become the reason you cannot sleep three days later.
Why Choose Almaden Family Chiropractic?
Plenty of clinics will accept a lien. Fewer have been documenting auto injury cases from the same Cambrian Park office since 1982.
- A doctor who focuses on auto injury. Dr. Alex Wong is a Palmer College graduate with more than 200 hours of postgraduate training and a practice centered on auto and work injury. He lives in the Almaden area.
- Exam, imaging, and treatment in one visit. Digital X-ray on site means you are not spread across three appointments and two offices during the week you feel worst.
- Records written for a claim, not just a chart. Objective findings, dated notes, and narrative reports produced by an office that handles personal injury cases routinely.
- Gentle care when the injury is fresh. Low-force techniques for patients whose neck will not tolerate a standard adjustment.
- A team that stays. Jamie and Joanie have run the front desk for 18 and 13 years. Care is available in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Korean.
- Hours that fit a working schedule. Weekday visits start at 7:30 AM and we open Saturday mornings, which matters when you are already losing time to appointments and adjusters.
More than 150 Google reviews from patients across South San Jose and the South Bay back that up.
Questions We Hear After a San Jose Collision
Do I have to use the chiropractor my insurance company recommends?
No. You choose who treats you, regardless of which insurer is handling the claim. An adjuster may suggest a provider, but that suggestion is not a requirement.
What if I have not hired an attorney yet?
Call us anyway. We will explain how lien treatment, Med-Pay, and third-party claims differ so you understand your options before deciding on representation.
Can I use Med-Pay from my own auto policy instead of a lien?
Often, yes. Med-Pay coverage on your own policy pays for treatment regardless of who caused the crash, and many patients use it first. We will review what your coverage allows before care begins.
What if I was driving for work when the crash happened?
Delivery, rideshare, and company vehicle collisions can run through workers’ compensation instead of a lien, and sometimes through both. Dr. Wong treats work-related injuries as well as auto injuries, so we can sort out which path applies before you start care.
I was in a crash in San Jose but live outside the city. Can I still be treated here?
Yes. Patients travel to our Branham Lane office from across the South Bay, including Willow Glen, Almaden Valley, and Saratoga. Early weekday and Saturday morning slots make the drive easier to fit around work.
Do Not Wait Out the Pain
Symptoms that seem manageable in week one often harden into something slower to treat, and a gap between the crash and the first exam is the first thing an insurer points to. Getting evaluated early protects your recovery and your record.
Call 408-269-7111 to schedule. We will explain your options before you commit to anything.
